The 5th Annual Float for Charity will take place May 18th at the Joe Ritchey Bridge just north of Everett near route 26. The 10-mile float takes place in the family-friendly waters of the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River. This year’s chosen charity is the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation. Launch is set for noon, registration and boat drop-off begin at 9:00 AM. Busses are available in the morning to bring patrons from the finish site in Hopewell back to the launch site. Free camping is available at Cooper’s Recreation Area. T-shirts, raffle prizes and live music round out the day’s activities.
