Canoe Creek State Park
As we approach our 3rd Annual Polar Burr Plunge the committee would like
to invite you to gather your family and friends for a fun filled morning
at Canoe Creek Park.
The concept is simple: Participants raise a minimum of $50 per person and
take a dip at Canoe Creek State Park (beach side), to raise funds for the
YMCA’s ‘Program for All”.
But the Plunges are so much more than that. They're the kind of fun and
exciting events that you really have to experience to understand.
So…. grab a friend, coworker, family member (team a maximum of 10), or go

New this year
Prefer to keep your feet on dry land? No problem! You can support the
plunge and be a part of all the Plunge fun without actually getting wet.
Just register as "Too Chicken to Plunge" and dance your feathers off in
the chicken coop, during the plunge
Team Challenge !!!
Be a fan of team spirit.
Join in the fun by taking the plunge as a team!
This is a great team-building experience for your organization, faculty
and/or sports teams!
The Challenge for Individuals, Clubs, Organizations, Sports Teams or Faculty.
Use the plunge as a “Team-building” activity for organizations at your
school or business.
• Gain team-building skills as your team or department works together to
meet a goal for the
See which team, club, department, organization, etc., can raise the most
funds for the Hollidaysburg Area YMCA Polar Burrr Plunge! This can be
accomplished several ways:
• Choose one member to represent his/her team or department and have all
collect pledges to support that one person (good way to have a coach plunge!)
• Have each team member or department member collect pledges and then take
plunge together! It's more fun with friends!
• Take a digital photo of each team or department; attach it to a can for
pledges and see
which team or department raises the most money! Remember, it’s $50 per
• Have each team or department come up with a theme, design costumes to be

 Each team member must pledge a minimum of $50.00 per person. And
fill out the necessary plunge application and signature to participate.

 The team that raises $1000.00 or more will be entered in a

• Solicit contributions through family, friends, co-workers, etc.
• Organize a dress down day at work.
• Set up donation buckets with pictures of individuals, team, department,
