HGR Recap 12/29 - 2013 Year in Review Part 1!

Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the December 29 edition of Rocky 104.9 and Rocky 99's weekly local music program, "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 9 to 11 PM on WRKY-FM (www.rocky1049.com) and WRKW-FM (www.rocky99.com).

We began to close the book on 2013 with Part 1 of the “2013 Year in Review Special!” We started with a V. 2.0 upgrade of the Mark Allen Project’s “Happy New Year (Toss Me a Beer),” before commencing with January and reviewing the area music scene happenings in 2013! We recapped the band personnel moves, group formations and breakups, special benefits and other shows, and recordings that impacted the area music scene during the past year! And of course, we heard music from the bands and artists who helped shape the area music scene in 2013!

The “Homegrown Rocker” finishes closing the door on 2013 next Sunday night with the “2013 Year In Review Special Part 2!” Resuming with July, we will recap the second half of the past year on the area music scene, recapping the special shows, personnel moves, band formations and breakups, and other items that defined the past year on the local music scene. And we of course will hear lots of music from bands and artists who impacted the area music scene in 2013!

If you live beyond the signal range of Rocky 104.9 and Rocky 99, you can now download west-central PA’s longest-running local music show!

Also, bands and artists are welcome to add their upcoming shows to the “Homegrown Rocker” event calendar! Go to the “Homegrown Rocker” section of either Rocky website and click on “Events,” and add your shows for free!
