In Local Music News…

Two benefit events will happen on Friday night to help victims of a recent fire in Hollidaysburg. Proceeds will help people and families affected by the building fire in downtown Hollidaysburg on February 27. The Help Hollidaysburg Benefit will take place at Pellegrine’s starting at 7 p.m. Bands and performers donating their talents to that event include Klockwick, Emberstitch, New Trick, Wreathbearer and The Dashing Saboteurs. There will be door prizes and a Chinese auction as well.

Meanwhile, the Allegheny Bilge Rats Shanty Choir will perform at the Allegheny Street Coffee Company on the Hollidaysburg Diamond starting at 7 p.m. The group will be collecting money and in-kind donations to benefit those who lost their homes in the fire.

Another benefit show is coming together on Saturday night, March 22 at the Tyrone American Legion to help out an injury victim. The Jam, Nobody’s Heroes and Pat McGinnis & Chuck Knepper will perform to help raise money for Jessica Conrad Finochio, who suffered serious back injuries in a New Year’s Eve auto accident and is unable to work and earn money for her family. The show will start at 7 p.m., and there will be basket giveaways and a Chinese auction. Tickets are $6.00 or two for $10.00 and can be purchased at JC’s Barber Shoppe in Tyrone or Allied On-Guard Protective Services in Altoona.
