A young area musician and performing artist is doing the choreography for a special benefit event to help out a friend in need. EVK’s Chelsea Moses is choreographing “A Night for Cianna,” which will take place on Friday night, August 15 at 7:30 p.m. at the Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School gymnasium. Proceeds will benefit The Ehlers-Danlos National Foundation in honor of Cianna Stone, a 12-year-old area dancer who suffers from Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a painful progressive connective tissue disorder that has forced Cianna to stop dancing and attending school. The show will feature advanced dancers from five studios and gymnasts from one gym coming together in an uplifting celebration. Tickets are $10 per person, and there will also be a basket raffle.
