The band lineup has been set for the annual Kids Come First Benefit: 22nd End Of Summer Jam. The concert will happen on Sunday, August 25 at the Cresson Sportsmen’s Club to raise money for Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Bands performing this year will include the Backyard Rockers, Rhythm Sharks, Iron Wolf, Untyed, Emberstitch, Ghostown Revelry, Lies Inc. and Locked and Loaded. There will also be acoustic performers between bands, including Rich Edmundson, Punk Fiction, Josh Gallagher and Ryan Long. The concert will run from 1 to 10 p.m. Donation at the gate will be $10 per person, with children ages 12 and under admitted for free. Parking is free. Food and refreshments will be available.

Next weekend is the annual Ameriserv Flood City Music Festival in Johnstown. The event will kick off at 2 p.m. Friday and Sunday, and 1 p.m. on Saturday, with continuous music on four stages in and around People’s Natural Gas Park near downtown Johnstown. Headlining performers this year include Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue and New York Funk Exchange on Friday, Robert Randolph & the Family Band, Bonerama and Sister Sparrow & the Dirty Birds on Saturday, and Sister Sparrow & the Dirty Birds and Greensky Bluegrass on Sunday. Plenty of local and regional bands and artists are included in this year’s lineup, including Black Cat Moan, The Crew of the Half Moon, Cait Cuneo, Jazzam, the West Hills All Stars, Well Strung, the Kalob Griffin Band, The Pawnbrokers, Bastard Bearded Irishmen, the Beagle Brothers and more. Guitarist Nate Jones has parted ways with Fred Myers and the Redneck Majority, citing family and career reasons. Matt Nagy replaces him.
